Terms of Service

Agreement to terms

By visiting docketforge.app, submitting a demo request, or using the DepoSync, CaseLink, Coverage Map, or ZoomSync tools ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. If you're using the Service on behalf of an agency or company, you're agreeing on that organization's behalf and confirming you have the authority to do so.

What we provide

DocketForge builds workflow automation tools for court reporting agencies, litigation support firms, and process serving companies:

• DepoSync automates availability requests and job assignment for freelance court reporters.
• CaseLink connects to your Dropbox to generate hyperlinked exhibit indexes.
• Coverage Map visualizes process server territory by county.
• ZoomSync schedules Zoom meetings across your agency's own Zoom licenses, balancing load across accounts automatically.

We reserve the right to add, change, or discontinue features over time, and we'll do our best to give notice before anything that materially affects how you use the Service.

Accounts and access

Only agency admins and staff invited by an agency have login accounts. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that happens under your account. Reporters and process servers don't get accounts. Reporters interact with the Service through one-time, expiring links sent by email to submit availability or confirm/decline a job; process servers are contact records maintained by your agency with no direct interaction with the Service. Neither is bound by these terms as a "user," though the acceptable-use rules below still apply to anyone interacting with the Service.

Your data

Your agency owns the reporter, case, scheduling, and process server data you enter into the Service. We process it on your behalf to provide the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You're responsible for making sure you have the right to enter any personal information (like reporter contact details) into the system, and for complying with any obligations you have to those individuals.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for anything unlawful, or to violate anyone else's rights;
• Attempt to access another agency's data, or bypass the tenant isolation the Service is built on;
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including through excessive automated requests;
• Reverse-engineer, resell, or white-label the Service without our written agreement;
• Use the Service to send unsolicited bulk email unrelated to legitimate scheduling and case-coordination purposes.

Fees and billing

The product is billed as a one-time setup fee plus a flat monthly subscription per agency, as agreed when you sign up — there are no per-user fees. Specific pricing, billing cadence, and cancellation terms are set out in your individual agreement or invoice with us. You can cancel at any time by contacting hello@docketforge.app; we don't offer prorated refunds for partial months unless we agree to otherwise.

Third-party services

Parts of the Service rely on third-party providers you choose to connect — Microsoft 365, Google, Dropbox, and Zoom. Your use of those integrations is also subject to that provider's own terms. We aren't responsible for outages, changes, or data handling on their end, though we'll do our best to adapt the Service if a provider makes a breaking change.

Availability and disclaimer of warranties

We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DocketForge will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including lost profits or lost data, even if we've been advised of the possibility. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if these terms are violated, or if fees go unpaid. You can stop using the Service and close your account at any time by contacting us.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll update the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the update.
